The Bybit Performance Accelerator, believed to be the first of its kind, is aimed at providing athletes and professionals with the means to continually enhance and improve their performance. The programme combines education, physiology, and mental wellbeing to help participants continue to learn, listen, care and improve on the on and off-track performances.
The Accelerator puts participants through a training regimen delivered by leading industry and wellness experts across a variety of specialisms. The drivers’ physical and mental wellbeing is fully supported as they elevate their performance and endurance to the next level.
The programme provides drivers with tailored 1:1 sessions as well as group training to help them achieve a competitive advantage and has already shown early signs of success for the Team.
Drivers have already witnessed performance improvements and the Team has already reaped the rewards of the training, with multiple race wins in the 2022 F1 Esports Series and a second place finish in the Teams’ Championship.
The Accelerator announcement comes after leading cryptocurrency exchange Bybit was named Principal Team Partner for Oracle Red Bull Racing in a multi-year deal in 2022.
Established in 2018, Bybit has grown exponentially over the past five years and now boasts more than ten million users worldwide. To recognise the scale of Bybit’s involvement, it joined the charge as Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Principal Team Partner, which is the first time such a partnership level has been created with the Team.
Team Principal and CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing Christian Horner said: “We are very proud of how quickly our Esports team has established itself as one of the most successful teams on the track, winning hundreds of races and multiple titles since the Team’s inception in 2018. We recognise that mental health is critical to complement the physical training for all athletes and when it comes to sim racing, the stresses and challenges at the elite level are unique.
“That’s why, together with Bybit, we have created this programme to address exactly that. By supporting our Esports drivers’ mental wellbeing as well as their physical health, we feel we are equipping them with the tools required for continued success at the highest level.”
“We understand the stress and strain extreme pressure situations place on the body and the mind, so we are very proud to be part of this ground-breaking programme,” said Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO, Bybit. “Whether it’s evaluating split second market moves or hurtling high performance machines through corners at over 300 kmph, peak performance demands superhuman mental and physical endurance - time after time. That’s why we will continue to support every effort to improve the continued education, resilience, and wellbeing of top athletes and professionals as they continue to push themselves and boundaries.”
