Webster won the Sprint from second on the grid, before finishing seventh in the reverse grid Feature Race. He heads into the final race of the 2025 season with a 40-point lead over closest rival and 2023 champion Jordan Caruso.
Elsewhere, Sebastian Job had a nice return to form with second place finishes in both races. The reigning Champion sits seventh in the standings on 244 points, with two Feature Race wins to his name so far this year, while Webster, the front runner, sits on 350.

RACEREPORT
Both Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing drivers started the weekend well, as Webster just beat out Job in qualifying to start in P2, with his teammate two spots back in P4.

The Sprint Race start did not go to plan for Webster though, as he lost a place to Mitchell de Jong in the wet Japanese weather.
Webster quickly adjusted to the conditions and was soon putting de Jong ahead of him under plenty of pressure. The two made light contact on Lap 4, before two laps later de Jong lost control while trying to overtake leader Jordan Caruso and let both Webster and Job though.
With de Jong out the way, Webster was immediately on Caruso’s tail and after going through several corners side by side, he finally made a move stick to claim the lead. Job followed suit at the next corner, and the pair would hold on to seal an impressive Sprint race 1-2 finish.
With the Sprint race finishing order reversed to form the Feature Race starting grid, Job sat alongside Webster on the fourth row of the grid in slightly improved conditions for racing.
Job started well, passing Ariel at Turn 1 to move into P6, while Webster lost a position to Alejandro Sánchez and fell to P9. The setback was short-lived though, with the Australian climbing back into P8 a lap later thanks to a nice move on Sánchez.

The drama continued on Lap 3 when Job passed Tristan Iglesias into Turn 1 and Webster was forced to close the door on the aggressive Luke McKeown.
Then on Lap 6 Job capitalised on the battle between Caruso and Sam Kuitert ahead of him to move up to P3. The two had been battling down the home straight and went wheel-to-wheel in to Turn 1 before making contact, with Job sneaking up the inside to not only claim two positions but also do his teammate Webster a favour by taking points away from rival Caruso.

Webster passed Iglesias a few laps later and would happily settle for P7, one place behind Caruso in the Feature Race but with his lead now sitting at 40 points in the standings.
Meanwhile, Job was able to close a two-second gap to Florian Lebigre in the closing stages before completing a pass to claim P2. After a difficult weekend at Thruxton Circuit last time out, Job was back to his best in Japan and was perhaps unfortunate not to take another race win.
On the Sprint victory, Cooper said: “Really enjoyed driving Fuji, my pace was great and I was able to score solid points to extend my gap to P2 in the championship by 2 points. The wet races were super fun and winning the heat with Seb in P2 made it even sweeter. The championship fight is far from over so just have to keep my head down and stay focused to get the job done!”
After securing two podiums, Seb said: “Very happy to get back on track this round. A few hard races leading up to this, but I knew the pace was good and everyone can have their bad days. I was struggling a bit with qualifying pace here compared to previous rounds but hit a reasonable lap to start P4. Race pace in the wet was much better and so I could support Cooper a bit in the Sprint, and then attack to move up the grid in the Feature. A great haul of points so much better, now just to deliver with one race to go."
