Both drivers entered Event 3 looking on top form and that carried over into qualifying, with Rasmussen third and Opmeer fifth in a competitive session.
As the lights went out for the start of the race, it was Opmeer who made the best start, flying past Bari Broumand before briefly overtaking Rasmussen into the Turn 1 chicane, only for the Dane to shut the door.

Both drivers kept Thomas Ronhaar and race leader Otis Lawrence closely in their sights for the remainder of the opening stint, during which overtakes were few and far between. Lawrence was the first of the leaders to stop, pitting for fresh tyres on Lap 14, followed by Ronhaar a lap later.
This left Rasmussen in the lead, with Opmeer not far behind in second. Rasmussen’s lead was short lived though as he pitted on Lap 16, with Opmeer following suit the following time round.
Emerging in P17 on the hard tyres, Rasmussen quickly passed Ulaş Özyıldırım to move back onto the tail of Ronhaar. Opmeer re-joined the race at the back of the field also on the hards, albeit with fresher tyres than his rivals, and quickly set about his work, passing Istvan Puki and Josh Idowu in consecutive laps.
Up the road, Rasmussen made it past Ronhaar on Lap 20 with a fine move around the outside at Turn 2 after gaining a powerful tow down the main straight. Opmeer then used a similar move a lap later to leapfrog Özyıldırım and move into P8, with only Ronhaar now separating the teammates.

The last of the long runners pitted on Lap 21, leaving Broumand and the head of the field just ahead of Lawrence, with Rasmussen now running net fourth and Opmeer in sixth. Rasmussen though was eyeing Dani Bereznay in third and used a daring move into Turn 12 to jump ahead of the Mercedes driver.
Things came to a head on Lap 23 when Ronhaar and Bereznay tangled at Turn 1, both dropping down the order in the process. Ronhaar, who was leading in the Drivers’ standings heading into the race, would end up finishing the race in P17 as a result of damage from the incident.
With the race about to enter the final 10 laps, Rasmussen tried his luck with an ambitious move on Lawrence into Turn 7, but the Aston Martin driver was just able to hold him off. Rasmussen continued to apply pressure, but on Lap 27 he was passed by Opmeer into Turn 12.
Opmeer took instant advantage, passing Lawrence and Broumand with an incredible double overtake into Turn 1. The Dutchman followed Broumand through the twisting final sector on the prior lap, before unleashing the full power of the slipstream to blast past the Ferrari man and Lawrence to move into the lead of the race.
Once in the lead, Opmeer was never truly challenged and took the chequered flag for his second race win as an Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver. Rasmussen came home in fourth, just over a second behind Opmeer on the road, rounding out an excellent result for the team as the series heads to Interlagos for Round 10.
