Starting from pole position, the reigning Champion overcame a slow start to seal his first win of the season and move to the edge of the top 10 in Drivers’ standings.
Meanwhile, Jarno Opmeer continued his strong start to life as an Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing driver as he sealed a fourth points paying finish of the season in P9.
As the series heads to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for Round 6, Opmeer sits second behind only Championship leader Ismael Fahssi, with Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing move up to second in the Constructors’ standings.

Entering the week with just one point to his name, Rasmussen made the perfect start to Event 2 by adding another pole position to his collection thanks to a clinical flying lap in Q3 in changing conditions.
However, the race start did not quite go to plan in the same way, with the Dane falling behind Dani Bereznay and Lucas Blakeley on the opening lap and Opmeer losing two places from his P7 grid slot.
Rasmussen was running on the medium tyre to start while those around him had opted for the softs, and he lost another place on Lap 2 when Jake Benham took advantage of the added traction afforded to him.
Undeterred, both Rasmussen and Opmeer grew into the race as their rivals’ tyres began to degrade. Benham was the first of the front runners to pit on Lap 8, followed by Blakeley a lap later, with Rasmussen taking the lead shortly afterwards at the expense of Bereznay who was attempting to extend his stint.
Rasmussen pitted from the lead of the race on Lap 13 for a set of soft tyres, and then set about catching the leading group ahead. Opmeer stayed out even longer, eventually boxing on Lap 16 and re-joining proceedings down the field.
With softer and fresher tyres, Rasmussen soon caught up to the back of Blakeley and began applying pressure. That soon told, with the Dane passing Blakeley up the inside at The Loop on Lap 17 to move into P4.
With Bereznay, and Nicolas Longuet and Benham just ahead, now in his sights, Rasmussen could sense the chance of victory. After being initially repelled by Bereznay in a brilliant display of wheel-to-wheel racing, Rasmussen finally made a move stick into Vale to leap into podium position.
After biding his time for a few laps, Rasmussen made a decisive move on Longuet into Brooklands on Lap 22, before reclaiming the lead that he lost at the very start a lap later with an inch-perfect pass on Benham.
With just three laps still remaining, Rasmussen held off some late pressure from Bereznay to take the chequered flag and seal his 16th Formula 1 Sim Racing World Championship race win.
As for Opmeer, he skilfully climbed the order in the closing stages to finish in ninth, a result that leaves him with 59 points after just five races and still sitting in P2 in the standings.
On his victory, Frede said: “I’m happy to convert the pole to victory, it was a lot harder to overtake than I thought, I had to pull out some crazy moves to retake the lead from the soft runners after the pits. I didn’t change anything in my preparation between Event 1 and now, hoping to continue this momentum in the remaining races this week.”
Jarno said: “Silverstone has never been my strongest track, finishing P18 and P14 here in the years I won the Championship. Happy with my qualifying performance and then to pick up some points at least -- full focus to Spa now.”
