After four rounds and with just three races remaining, Webster sits on 226 points at the top of the standings, 34 points ahead of compatriot and 2023 Champion, Jordan Caruso.
Meanwhile, reigning Champion Sebastian Job sits sixth in the standings on 159 points despite a difficult weekend at the Sachsenring, with two Feature Race wins to his name so far this season.

The weekend took on a novel format, with drivers separated into five heats of 6 following the usual shootout qualifying. The top two from each heat then automatically qualifying for the 15-driver Feature Race, and a chance at the big points.
Webster finished P2 in his heat comfortably, but Job missed out and was left to fight it out in the Consolation Race – the last opportunity for the top five finishers to gain qualification for the Feature Race.
Despite starting in P17, Job made quick progress, climbing the order rapidly in the opening few laps. After just three laps the reigning series champion had made his way up to P8, in part due to mistakes ahead of him and also his overtaking prowess.
Job finished the Consolation Race in P7, despite a valiant charge, just two spots back from securing qualification for the Feature Race alongside his teammate Webster.

With the grid order determined by past results, rather than form over the weekend, Webster started the Feature Race in P9. However, the Australian did not make the ideal start to the race, falling back to P10 at the opening turn.
The response was almost immediate from Webster, with the championship leader able to pass Gustavo Ariel before the opening lap was over.

Webster bided his time in P9 until Lap 6, where he took advantage of a dramatic spin by Elliott Vayron to move up into eighth position.
Throughout the remainder of the race Webster continued to drive hard and attempted to place pressure on Tristan Iglesias ahead of him. However, he was unable to make another move and finished the race in eighth, picking up 48 points for his weekend of work.

Commenting on a disappointing weekend, Seb said: “Really frustrating race for me at Sachsenring. This was the most important qualifying lap of the year as overtaking is almost impossible, and unfortunately, I grazed track limits in Turn 8 and had to start from the back. From then things just never recovered despite the strong pace. Onwards and upwards for the final three rounds!”
On maintaining the championship lead, Cooper said: “I didn’t have the greatest time at Sachsenring, I struggled in qualifying but did the absolute best I could, clawing back, to get myself into the main race and bagging decent points. Time to reset and refocus on maintaining my lead.”
